What’s a good next project?
It’s a difficult question in any endevour. I’m curious about how did the great writers do it? The musician’s of old would either do what they like or get paid for composing something. Very similar for painters. Movie directors have their jobs harder because the production requires many moving pieces. You just don’t make what you want to make unless you have already accumulated great wealth: like what Coppola did with Megalopolis or Gibson with The Passion of the Christ.
It’s somewhat similar in games. It’s a complicated process - many ins, many outs.
